Josh Cares was founded in 2005.

What have we achieved?

Our Fundraising:

• 2005 was our inaugural year. $63,000 was raised through two fundraising events - incredible results for the first year of a new charity!
• 2006 was even better, with proceeds of over $100,000. There were spring & fall adult fundraisers, with added opportunities for young people to make a contribution to Josh Cares. Volunteers handed out water at the Flying Pig Marathon, participated in the CCHMC walk-a-thon - Cincinnati Walks For Kids - and we were 3rd highest in funds raised ($15,162). Josh Cares was also successful with our first grant request, having been awarded a $15,000 grant from the Charles H. Dater Foundation in the fall of 2006.
• 2007: Once again, over $100,000 raised... $60,100 was raised at the Fire and Ice Gourmet Affair. We again participated in Cincinnati Walks For Kids. On October 5, 2007 our Fall event, "Rock Around the Clock" at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati raised over $40,000.
• 2008: We are on track to raise over $150,000...The Fire and Ice Gourmet Affair raised over $60,000. We will again be participating in Cincinnati's Walk for Kids with a goal of raising $20,000. And we have received a $33,000 grant from the Charles H. Dater Foundation. And we're only half way through the year!
