JOSH CARES’ 9th ANNUAL GOLF OUTING RAISES OVER $45,000!
2019 Josh Cares Golf Outing Champions
From L to R: Executive Director Pete McConney and champions Ashley McCall Keating, Kyle McCall, Diane McCall, and Larry McCall.
The 9th Annual Josh Cares Golf Outing held on September 16 was a record-breaking success. With 64
golfers participating and seven major sponsors, the outing raised $45,032.
Event proceeds will support the professionally trained Josh Cares Child Life Specialists, who
provide comfort, support and companionship to seriously ill children within Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, whose
families are unable to be by their sides consistently.
This year’s event was held at the beautiful Heritage Club in Mason, Ohio with players
spending the day “swinging” for children facing hospitalization alone. “It was a beautiful day for the event,
and we appreciate the support of our sponsors, and all of our volunteers and players, who made the golf outing a great success,”
said Josh Cares Executive Director Peter McConney.
The outing started at 11 a.m., with registration and a premium lunch provided by sponsor Prime
Cincinnati and Executive Chef Shawn Heine. A “shotgun start” began the tournament and
the day culminated with cocktails and a scrumptious buffet dinner. Announcement of
the winners and the silent auction and raffle followed.
Second place went to Hans Zimmer, Michael Gay, Virginia Holmes and
Jared Nickoli.
Men’s “Closest To the Pin” winner was Mark Thomas; Women’s “Closest To the Pin” winner was Diane
McCall; Women’s “Longest Drive” winner was Ashley Keating; and Men’s “Longest Drive” winner was
Larry McCall.
Heartfelt thanks go out to our major sponsors: Meshewa Farm Foundation, Quotient Technology, MCM
CPAs & Advisors, Premier Mail & Fulfillment, Joseph & Marti Otto, Price Waterhouse Cooper (PWC) and
Prime Cincinnati.
